The best system for your room, requirements and budget
If you don't quite know where to start you can always phone or email us with your requirements, preferences, room size, space requirements, budget, etc. and we can suggest a suitable complete system combination to suit.
Mix and Match your Own Home Theatre Speaker System
You are quite welcome to mix and match our various speakers to suit your own needs if you know what you want. Or you could choose from a few of our suggested system combinations here as a general guide. Many different systems are possible. Just add the speakers from the series that you want, to create the exact configuration you want.
All our speakers have a similar tonal balance because there is uniformity in design, and they combine well in any combination. However, it is easy to use exactly the same tweeter and midrange drivers throughout your choice of models for a home theatre system, if you ask.
Compatibility with all brands / models of receivers
Because the majority of Ascension speakers are 8 ohms they can be used with any home theatre or stereo amplifier/receiver without problems with compatibility. Some other brands have low impedance speakers of 4 ohms which are not compatible with many home theatre receivers.
Home Theatre System Configurations
5.1, 7.1 and 7.2 are still popular configurations and a very good place to start. However If you want to add more channels for Dolby Atmos or DTS:X you can at any time.
DTS:X is a new object based audio format which means that can have much more flexible speaker placement and up to 11.2 (depending on your receiver) speakers or even up to 32 speakers. Although most DTS:X systems will still start off with a 5.1, 7.1, 7.2 etc. system as it's base with the addition of ceiling (ie. Kestrel series) speakers or high wall bracket mounted speakers (ie. Firesprites or Fusion flat panel) to add a high level. Dolby Atmos system layouts are also good with DTS:X.
Dolby Atmos systems are made by adding 2 or 4 ceiling speakers (from our Kestrel range for example) to a 5.1, 7.1, 7.2 etc,. Simply organise a local electrician to install the in ceiling speakers or install them yourself. We can supply Marantz or Denon Dolby Atmos receivers.
Auro 3d systems are made by adding the suitable number of speakers from either the Firesprite (bookshelf sized) or Fusion (flat panel range) for high wall mounting with brackets to create a high layer, then adding a single ceiling speaker for the VOG channel. (scroll down to view some Auro 3d upgrade packages to get started). Denon and Marantz have Auro 3D firmware upgrades for some models which we can supply.
Simply phone or email to discuss any configuration you have in mind or just to discuss which system would suit your room or requirements best.
Build your own box Kit
Prices are even less for a system in kit form. This is useful if you have woodworking abilities and are able to make your own cabinets. The kit will come with fully built crossovers, drivers, cabinet dimensions and instructions, grill clips/cloth, vents, screws, etc., and free advice over the telephone if you have any queries or difficulties.
High End PC Gaming Systems
For a very high end PC gaming system simply order the 5.1 system
of your choice without the centre channel, making it a 4.1.
Systems made up of four Firesprites (which can be wall mounted) and one of our subwoofers are the most popular.
Then just add the receiver of your choice.
